Gernandt & Danielsson has advised the asset manager East Capital in connection with the initial public offering and listing of shares in East Capital Explorer AB (publ) on OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm.
East Capital Explorer AB (publ) is a newly formed Swedish company, created with the specific aim of bringing unique investment opportunities in Eastern Europe to a broader investor base. The company will focus on investments in non-listed and semi-public companies in fast growing sectors in Eastern Europe. The company has appointed East Capital, a leading, independent asset manager focused on investments in Russia and the other CIS countries, the Balkans, the Baltic States, Central Asia and Central Eastern Europe, with approximately EUR 5 billion in assets under management, to manage its investment activities.
The offering comprised approximately 34 million shares and amounted to approximately SEK 3.4 billion. The first trading day on OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm was
9 November 2007.
Carnegie, Citi and Morgan Stanley were Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners.
