Acquisition by Pernod Ricard of Vin & Sprit

G&D has advised Pernod Ricard.

March 31, 2008 the Government of Sweden made public that it had entered an agreement to sell Vin & Sprit to Pernod Ricard, registered on Euronext in Paris. The purchase price, including transfer of liabilities, amounted to 55 billion SEK. With the acquisition of Vin & Sprit, Pernod Ricard becomes a leader in the premium spirit segment.

Pernod Ricard was advised by Gernandt & Danielsson through the partner Dick Lundqvist, who was in charge of the transaction together with the partner Fredrik Palm, and the associates Linneá Ecorcheville, Leo Lee, and Corinne Ekman. Also, a large number of other associates of the firm took part in the transaction. Among these were the partners Mats Huguson (Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution), Bob Johanson (Real Estate and Environmental Law issues), Marcus Johansson (Banking and Finance), Niclas Rockborn (Banking and Finance), and Andreas Holmqvist (Employment law).
