G&D advises VeriFone in connection with its acquisition of Point.
G&D advises VeriFone, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and one of the global leaders in secure electronic payment solutions, in connection with its acquisition of Point, Northern Europe's largest provider of payment and gateway services and solutions for retailers with operations in 11 countries, from Nordic Capital. The purchase price amounts to approximately EUR 600 million and, in addition, existing Point debt of approximately EUR 170 million will be retired by VeriFone at closing. The acquisition is expected to close before the end of 2011.
G&D’s team consisted primarily of Dick Lundqvist, Krister Skoog and Gustav Skogö as well as Tobias Edenman, Fredrik Eklund, Erik Sandgren, Sofia Wolff, Emma Rönquist and Erik Åslund.
