It has become ever more common amongst students to try to gain an impression of potential employers at a very early stage in their studies. One way of doing this is through a study visit. Gernandt & Danielsson is happy to host such visits. Also, clerks at district courts or county administrative courts are more than welcome to pay a visit.
In the typical case, the study visit takes place on a weekday evening starting around 6.00pm. We usually start with our managing partner explaining not only about the firm but also about the role as a professional and the work as a commercial lawyer, followed by food and drinks afterwards. A number of the firm's junior lawyers often participate in this aspect of the study visit, primarily those who recently have studied at the same university or college as the guests or has worked at the same court as the guest. This is an excellent opportunity to ask all those questions you have about life at a law firm, not least of all life at this law firm, to those who have quite recently themselves faced this career choice.
