Summer trainee

Every summer, Gernandt & Danielsson employs a number of students who have the opportunity to participate in the day-to-day work of the firm for six to eight weeks. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced lawyers under the guidance of a mentor. Many summer interns have later been employed by the firm.

We are looking for the best students for our summer internship positions. We require that you have a genuine interest in commercial law. However, your future plans do not determine whether you will be selected. Whether you want to be a lawyer or judge, pursue an academic or other career, we want to offer you the opportunity to acquire practical experience of working at a commercial law firm.

Involvement in genuine legal work
The work you will do as a summer intern at the firm is genuine and will depend on the work the firm is doing for clients during your internship. Your work will generally consist of conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and producing draft contracts. You will always work closely with our lawyers and obtain unique insight into the way we work.

A tailor-made programme
The period of employment is usually six weeks beginning in the first or second half of the summer. When you start your internship, you will be allocated a mentor who will assist you and ensure that you always have interesting work to do. You will have the opportunity to participate in a programme which includes training and social activities tailor-made for you and your fellow interns.

Are you eligible to apply?
We require that you have completed at least six semesters of law studies when the internship starts. Other than that, there are no formal requirements – the quality of your application determines whether you are accepted as a summer intern.

The application period for the summer 2018 programme is closed as of 22 December 2017.
