Gernandt & Danielsson makes strong gains in the M&A statistics for 2013

News

Gernandt & Danielsson increased both the number of M&A deals and size of the transactions in 2013.

Analysis company Mergermarket recently released fresh full-year statistics for law firms’ M&A deals last year (2013 Trend Report).

The report states that 2013 was a year in which M&A activity continued to remain low (-3% globally). The downturn was even greater in Sweden, where many law firms had fewer large transactions than for many years. Gernandt & Danielsson is the only leading firm that increased both the number of deals and size of the transactions in 2013.

The top 15 list is dominated by global firms and, of the Nordic firms, Mannheimer Swartling is on top followed by Gernandt & Danielsson.

“The results for 2013 show that Gernandt & Danielsson has gained market shares even in a situation where the market is contracting and the competition is likely tougher than ever. That is a sign of strength”, says Gernandt & Danielsson’s Managing Partner Tobias Larsson.
