Gernandt & Danielsson has advised DLL in its Nordic licence restructuring

Matters

Gernandt & Danielsson has advised DLL in a licence restructuring regarding its Nordic operations. On 23 October 2025, DLL’s Swedish subsidiary De Lage Landen Finans AB returned its licence to conduct financing business to instead become registered as a financial institution.

The operations of De Lage Landen Finans AB's Danish and Finnish branches will continue under local registrations. Simultaneously, De Lage Landen Finans AB has ended its Norwegian branch, which has been replaced by a new branch established on a cross-border basis by DLL's Dutch credit institution De Lage Landen International B.V.

Gernandt & Danielsson has advised DLL with a team consisting of partner Niclas Rockborn, senior associate Rikard Sundstedt and associate Sebastian Kjellkvist.
