A polarised and turbulent international landscape results in stricter enforcement of national security rules

As the world becomes more polarised and turbulent, authorities have initiated a stricter application of national security rules, both in connection with transactions and in their ongoing supervision of the businesses’ daily operations. Such tendencies have evolved for some time in the Western world and are now emerging in Sweden as well. During the last months, two decisions regarding sanctions with relatively significant sanction fees have been imposed on companies in widely differing industries for deficiencies in the security clearance of employees.
