Sinch AB (publ) announced on 9 June 2021 that it had entered into an agreement to acquire MessageMedia, a leader in mobile messaging solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Sinch will pay a total enterprise value of USD 1.3 billion, with a total cash consideration of USD 1.1 billion and the remainder in new shares in Sinch. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and is expected to close in H2 2021.
