Karnov Group AB (publ) announced on 9 December 2021 that the company has submitted a binding offer to acquire carved out legal information-based businesses of both Thomson Reuters in Spain and Wolters Kluwer in Spain and France. In order to finance the acquisitions, Karnov has entered into an agreement in respect of a bridge loan facility from Nordea. For the purpose of repaying part of the bridge loan facility, Karnov has carried out an issue of new ordinary shares of approximately SEK 594 million directed at Swedish and international institutional investors.

Gernandt & Danielsson advised Karnov in connection with the entering into the bridge loan facility and the directed share issue with a team consisting of partners Gustav Skogö Nyvang, Björn Svensson (financing) and Sofie Viktorsson (financing), senior associate Daniel Sveen as well as associates Josefine Jonsson Tepavac, Joel Ståhl and Alexander Thörnberg (financing).
