Foad leads our EU, Competition, and FDI practice group with more than 15 years of experience advising clients on merger control and regulatory matters in Brussels and London. He assists clients in M&A negotiations and before regulators with strategic advice across all aspects of market regulatory law, including merger control, antitrust, digital regulation, Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

With a wealth of experience, Foad has successfully advised clients on complex global matters, from Phase 2 merger and FDI reviews to PE-driven bolt-ons and investigations involving abuse of dominance and alleged cartels.

In the context of FDI regulation, Foad is recognized as one of Sweden's leading experts, drawing authority from regular engagement and filings with the Swedish agency on top of years of international experience with FDI filings in other jurisdictions.

Foad also possesses unique EU litigation experience, having worked at the European Court of Justice for 6 years and subsequently successfully pleaded there numerous times.
